Joseph Juriga
Good Bye to a True Friend

The Fort Lauderdale Advertising Federation is very saddened to share the loss of our dear friend, respected colleague, selfless contributor and admired leader – Joe Juriga (2007-2008 Past President of The Advertising Federation of Greater Fort Lauderdale). Joe unexpectedly passed away in his home in Binghamton, New York on Monday, November 2, 2009.

A talented, intelligent, creative shining star and true friend, Joe positively touched the lives of everyone he met. During his presidency, Joe led with honor, enthusiasm, wit and integrity to bring the organization to new heights.

Joe’s humor, humility, honesty and good-nature were infectious. Friends and colleagues seem to all share many of the same adjectives when describing Joe: loyal, trustworthy, inspirational, creative, talented, intelligent, warm, compassionate, grace and style. Consistently smiling and making those around him feel warmly embraced whether at a formal conference, client meeting, AdFed board meeting or just lunch – everyone he met received the warmth, intelligence and humor that made us all feel so comfortable. For all the ways he touched our lives, we are better people.

Let’s join together to celebrate Joe’s life. Not only the immensely positive impact he made within the advertising community, but his warm, approachable and humble “old soul” persona that led to so many genuine friendships. His smile warmed hearts, his wit was beyond his years, his talent was inspiring and his genuine, humble nature was honorable. He was taken from us far too soon and will be sorely missed.

Please join us to reflect and celebrate Joe’s life filled with positive achievements, many contributions, creativity, passion, heart, soul, wit, charm and, most importantly, to appreciate his warmth and compassion for others.
