Think you got what it takes to compete in the AdFed Adventure Team Challenge?
Test your endurance and teamwork! Teams of two will work together on an all terrain course, including mountain biking, kayaking, trail running (or walking) and some other surprises! The most important discipline, however, will be teamwork. Invite family and friends to cheer you and your co-workers on!!!
In addition The South Florida Adventures Magazine will be hosting an Outdoor Expo that will have equipment demos, vendors, food, and music. Event is free for all with a $3/car Park Entry fee.
Time SchedTime Schedule:
8:00 am Park Opens
9:00 am Competitor Registration ($40 per team of two)
10:00-10:30 am Race Clinic/Tips
10:30-10:45 am Mandatory pre-race Meeting/Map & Instructions
11:00 am Race Start
2:00 pm Awards/food

Mandatory Gear:
- Mountain Bike (If needed bike rentals will be available at a discounted charge, please contact Blue Moon Outdoor Center located in the park at 305-957-3040 and mention it’s for the race.)
- Bike Helmet (You must wear helmet at all times during the biking section of the race)
- Hydration System (Water bottles or Hydration packs)
- Running Sneakers
- Life Jackets (Will be provided and must be worn at all times during the kayaking section of the race.)
Suggested Gear:
Change of clothes and shoes, towel, bike gloves, flat repair items, light jacket
AdFed Adventure Team Challenge Official Rules:
1. Rules stated or distributed on race day will override any prior written rules.
2. Major emergencies take precedence over existing rules.
3. Rules can only be modified or changed by race officials, who will be identified on race day.
4. Racers are expected to respect their fellow competitors and race officials.
5. All racers must sign a waiver on race day.
6. No littering allowed. Follow the outdoor motto "Pack it in, Pack it out." Garbage may only be left at designated areas.
7. One set of maps and instructions will be given per team just prior to race start.
8. Each racer is responsible to bring items stipulated in mandatory gear list.
9. Team members must travel within 100 yards of each other, check in together, and complete all segments of the
race together. Failure to do so will result in time penalties.
10. Teams are not allowed to receive assistance from anyone other than competitors or race officials outside of transition area.
11. No two-way communications is allowed (i.e., two way radios).
12. All team members must complete the course to be considered ranked.
13. In the event one-person remains of a two, the remaining soloist will be allowed to continue at the discretion of race officials.
14. Competitors are to inform race official or volunteer as quickly as possible of a team''s withdrawal.
15. Teams may be redirected to alternate route if unable to finish current section.
16. Course change may be required due to safety reasons.
17. A race volunteer may hold a racer until a certified first aid attendant or race official arrives to make determination if the competitor may continue.
